The Six Articles of Faith in Islam

Faith (Iman) in Islam is the foundation of a Muslim’s belief. It consists of six core articles that every Muslim must believe in. These six articles define the true essence of faith and guide a believer’s relationship with Allah and the unseen realities.
اسلام میں ایمان ہر مسلمان کے عقیدے کی بنیاد ہے۔ ایمان چھ بنیادی ارکان پر مشتمل ہے جن پر ایمان لانا ہر مسلمان کے لیے ضروری ہے۔ یہ چھ ارکان ایمان کی حقیقت کو واضح کرتے ہیں اور مومن کو اللہ اور غیبی حقائق سے جوڑتے ہیں۔
1. Belief in Allah
اللہ پر ایمان
The first and most important article of faith is belief in Allah, the One and Only Creator, Sustainer, and Lord of the universe.
ایمان کا پہلا اور سب سے اہم رکن اللہ پر ایمان لانا ہے، جو کائنات کا واحد خالق، پالنے والا اور مالک ہے۔
2. Belief in Angels
فرشتوں پر ایمان
Muslims believe in the existence of angels, created by Allah from light. They carry out Allah’s commands and serve as His messengers in the unseen world.
مسلمان فرشتوں کے وجود پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں، جو اللہ نے نور سے پیدا کیے۔ وہ اللہ کے حکم پر عمل کرتے ہیں اور غیبی دنیا میں اس کے پیغام رساں ہیں۔
3. Belief in Divine Books
آسمانی کتابوں پر ایمان
Muslims must believe in all divine books revealed by Allah, including the Quran, Torah, Injeel, and Zabur. The Quran is the final and preserved guidance for humanity.
مسلمانوں پر ایمان لانا فرض ہے کہ اللہ نے مختلف زمانوں میں آسمانی کتابیں نازل کیں، جیسے قرآن، تورات، انجیل اور زبور۔ قرآن آخری اور محفوظ ہدایت ہے۔
4. Belief in Prophets
انبیاء پر ایمان
Allah sent prophets to guide humanity. Muslims believe in all prophets, from Adam (A.S.) to Muhammad ﷺ, the final Messenger.
اللہ نے انسانیت کی رہنمائی کے لیے انبیاء بھیجے۔ مسلمانوں پر ایمان لانا لازم ہے کہ تمام انبیاء کو مانیں، حضرت آدم علیہ السلام سے لے کر حضرت محمد ﷺ تک، جو آخری نبی ہیں۔
5. Belief in the Day of Judgment
قیامت کے دن پر ایمان
Muslims believe in the Day of Judgment when all humans will be resurrected and held accountable for their deeds.
مسلمان قیامت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں، جب تمام انسان دوبارہ زندہ کیے جائیں گے اور ان کے اعمال کا حساب لیا جائے گا۔
6. Belief in Qadr (Divine Decree)
تقدیر پر ایمان
Belief in Qadr means acknowledging that everything, whether good or bad, happens according to Allah’s divine will and wisdom.
تقدیر پر ایمان لانے کا مطلب ہے کہ انسان مانے کہ دنیا میں جو کچھ بھی ہوتا ہے، اچھا یا برا، سب اللہ کی مرضی اور حکمت کے مطابق ہے۔
