Virtues of Salah (From Qur’an and Hadith)

Introduction (تعارف)

Salah (prayer) is the most important act of worship in Islam after the declaration of faith. It is the connection between the servant and his Creator, and it brings peace, guidance, and blessings in this life and the Hereafter. Salah in the Qur’an (قرآن میں نماز کے فضائل)
English:
- Allah says: “Indeed, Salah prevents immorality and wrongdoing.” (Surah Al-Ankabut 29:45)
- “And establish prayer, for prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds.” (Surah Al-Isra 17:78)
- Salah is mentioned more than 70 times in the Qur’an, showing its great importance.
اردو:
- اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: “بیشک نماز بے حیائی اور برائی سے روکتی ہے۔” (سورۃ العنکبوت 29:45)
- “اور نماز قائم کرو، بے شک نماز بے حیائی اور برائی سے روکتی ہے۔” (سورۃ الاسراء 17:78)
- قرآن مجید میں 70 سے زائد بار نماز کا ذکر آیا ہے جو اس کی اہمیت کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔
Salah in the Hadith (حدیث میں نماز کے فضائل)
English:
- The Prophet ﷺ said: “The first deed for which a servant will be brought to account on the Day of Judgment is Salah. If it is sound, the rest of his deeds will be sound.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi)
- He ﷺ also said: “Between a man and disbelief is abandoning prayer.” (Sahih Muslim)
- The Prophet ﷺ described Salah as “the light of my eyes.” (Musnad Ahmad)
اردو:
- نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: “قیامت کے دن سب سے پہلا سوال بندے سے نماز کے بارے میں ہوگا۔ اگر نماز درست ہوئی تو باقی اعمال بھی درست ہوں گے۔” (سنن ترمذی)
- آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: “آدمی اور کفر کے درمیان فرق نماز ہے۔” (صحیح مسلم)
- رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: “نماز میری آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک ہے۔” (مسند احمد)
Virtues of Salah (نماز کے فضائل)
English:
- Closeness to Allah: It strengthens the relationship between the servant and Allah.
- Protection from Sins: Salah prevents a believer from committing major sins.
- Source of Peace: It gives spiritual comfort and removes worries.
- Forgiveness of Sins: Regular prayer wipes away minor sins.
- Success in Both Worlds: Salah is the key to success in dunya and Akhirah.
اردو:
- اللہ کے قریب ہونا: نماز بندے کو اللہ سے قریب کرتی ہے۔
- گناہوں سے حفاظت: نماز انسان کو بڑے گناہوں سے بچاتی ہے۔
- سکون کا ذریعہ: یہ دل کو سکون دیتی ہے اور غم و فکر کو دور کرتی ہے۔
- گناہوں کی معافی: پابندی سے نماز پڑھنے سے چھوٹے گناہ معاف ہو جاتے ہیں۔
- دنیا و آخرت میں کامیابی: نماز دنیا اور آخرت کی کامیابی کی کنجی ہے۔
