Introduction

Belief in Qadr (Destiny) is one of the six pillars of Iman (faith) in Islam. It means to believe that everything happens by the will and knowledge of Allah. Nothing in this world, whether good or bad, occurs without His permission.

تعارف

ایمان بالقدر، ایمان کے چھ ارکان میں سے ایک ہے۔ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ مسلمان یہ عقیدہ رکھے کہ کائنات میں جو کچھ بھی ہوتا ہے، وہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے علم اور حکم سے ہوتا ہے۔ کوئی نیکی یا برائی اس کی مشیت کے بغیر نہیں ہو سکتی۔

The Concept of Qadr in Islam

In Islam, Qadr refers to Allah’s eternal knowledge and His decree over all matters of the universe. A Muslim believes that everything has been written in Al-Lawh al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet), and nothing can change except by Allah’s will.

اسلام میں تقدیر کا مفہوم

اسلام میں تقدیر کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہر چیز کو پہلے سے جان لیا ہے اور اس کا فیصلہ فرما دیا ہے۔ مسلمان یہ ایمان رکھتا ہے کہ ہر چیز لوح محفوظ میں لکھی جا چکی ہے، اور اللہ کی مرضی کے بغیر کچھ نہیں ہو سکتا۔

Four Levels of Belief in Qadr

Knowledge (علم): Allah knows everything.
Writing (کتابت): Everything is written in Al-Lawh al-Mahfuz.
Will (مشیت): Nothing happens without Allah’s will.
Creation (پیدائش): Allah is the Creator of everything.

تقدیر پر ایمان کے چار درجے

علم: اللہ تعالیٰ ہر چیز کو جانتا ہے۔
کتابت: ہر چیز لوح محفوظ میں لکھی ہوئی ہے۔
مشیت: کوئی چیز اللہ کی مشیت کے بغیر نہیں ہو سکتی۔
پیدائش: اللہ تعالیٰ ہر چیز کا خالق ہے۔

Why Belief in Qadr is Important?

It strengthens a Muslim’s faith in Allah.
It helps in patience during hardships.
It protects from arrogance in success.
It teaches humility and reliance on Allah.

تقدیر پر ایمان کی اہمیت

یہ مسلمان کے ایمان کو مضبوط کرتا ہے۔
مشکلات میں صبر کی توفیق دیتا ہے۔
کامیابی پر تکبر سے بچاتا ہے۔
عاجزی اور اللہ پر بھروسہ سکھاتا ہے۔

Quran and Hadith about Qadr

Allah says in the Quran:
“Indeed, all things We created with predestination.” (Surah Al-Qamar: 49)

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“No slave of Allah will truly believe until he believes in Qadr, its good and its bad, from Allah.” (Tirmidhi)

قرآن و حدیث میں تقدیر

اللہ تعالیٰ قرآن میں فرماتے ہیں:
"بیشک ہم نے ہر چیز کو ایک اندازے کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے۔" (القمر: 49)

نبی اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا:
"بندہ مومن نہیں ہو سکتا جب تک کہ وہ تقدیر پر ایمان نہ لائے، خواہ وہ اچھی ہو یا بری، سب اللہ کی طرف سے ہے۔" (ترمذی)
